Exclusive Private Waterfall Wilderness Dining Experience
For only the very few.
Treetops Lodge & Estate, located in the heart of New Zealand’s wild food capital Rotorua, has launched a new activity for gourmands for the 2017/18 summer season – the Private Waterfall-Wilderness Dining – for the very few.
Picture a breath-taking natural waterfall and a single, gorgeous, table-for-two beneath a wilderness canopy of tall ferns and native trees. And then add a gourmet ‘Estate-to-Plate’ themed dinner. It’s an experience only for the very few, and exclusively for guests next summer season at Treetops. Combining a unique celebration of the estate’s reared produce, 100% pesticide free and organic – but with 21st century twists set in the tranquil setting of 2,500 glorious acres of native New Zealand wilderness.
Special guests begin each exclusive ‘Waterfall-Wilderness Dinner’ with a 15-minute escorted walk to a natural rock platform beside the crystal-clear natural swimming hole, below the Treetops’ Bridal Veil Falls, named for its delicate patterns of falling water over a spread of rock faces. Once seated, a personal chef and a dedicated waiter serve an extra-special five-course meal based on the extraordinary estate reared and estate-grown produce of Treetops matched by superb New Zealand wines. It’s an unrivalled romantic opportunity to be truly in touch with nature while dining on produce sourced from the surrounding land.
Enjoy day-fresh salads and vegetables using native and heritage varieties from the estate gardens, estate-reared boar, venison or pheasant, perhaps your own estate caught trout. Desserts include our orchard-harvested fruits and native berries and superb Manuka honey from Treetops’ own beehives. Expect expert 21st century twists too; new taste combinations and the surprise of native herbs and flavors, like peppery kawakawa leaf.
Then it’s a gentle escorted twilight stroll home to your private Treetops retreat where superb hospitality and lodge comfort await. This dazzling combination of an inspiring setting and ‘Estate-to-Plate’ dining ensures a Waterfall-Wilderness Dining experience will be truly memorable. Superb for special occasions or holiday highlights. But it’s only for the very few, and exclusive only this summer to the discerning Treetops guests.
The surcharge for this exclusive experience (in addition to the DBB nightly rate tariff, not available when booking the BB tariff) is NZ$175 plus GST per person (min 2 persons) for lodge stays 01 December 2017 to 31 March 18.
